Retrodukcija is a live band from Zagreb, active since 2006. Across years of our own concerts, clubs, events and urban weddings we built a way of playing, an audience and an energy we're now carrying into music of our own.

We're currently working on Retrodukcija's first original material.

The name Retrodukcija started as a play on the words “retro” and “reproduction”. For years we've been running the music we love through our own sound, reworking arrangements and looking for a way to make a familiar song feel like ours on stage.

Somewhere along the way, songs of our own started appearing. Today we're working on our first original material — a natural continuation of everything the stage has taught us.

We started as a group of people who simply wanted to play. Clubs, concerts, small stages, big events, travel, weddings and countless nights later, the reason we keep coming back to the stage hasn't changed. The audience.

For over ten years our own concerts at Sax! in Zagreb have been part of our story and the place where we see most clearly what Retrodukcija has become. It's why a single night with us can hold Haustor and Arctic Monkeys, Azra and Talking Heads, Dino Dvornik and The Black Keys.

Founders

Ivan and Ante Vidović

Brothers from Velika Gorica and the people behind Retrodukcija. Everything else grew out of their idea in 2006 — to play the music they wanted to listen to themselves.

Ivan is the frontman and lead vocals, Ante plays guitar and handles the bookings. Two guitars, two microphones and twenty years of playing together.
